Second hand Jeep in Malaga
Jeep was born in 1941 to support the American troops during the Second World War; the idea was to build a cheap, multi-purpose vehicle, something they achieved quite successfully. After the war, the brand continued to evolve, bringing its distinctive military aesthetics to the general public. Although Jeep is no longer used by the army today, the current models still retain the essence that so captivated the public in the past and still catches our attention. Those looking for a second-hand or new Jeep have a clear idea of the type of car they want.
Currently we can find several Jeep models such as the Wrangler, Liberty, Compass, Commander, Grand Cherokee, Renegade and Patriot. Do you want an SUV or do you want a Jeep? Their aesthetics already set a very different trend from other brands such as Renault or Seat. Many buyers are not looking for a "second-hand car" but for a Jeep.
Do not hesitate to ask us even if it does not appear on our list; we may be able to find it in stock or can help you with other alternatives.
Jeep Renegade
With a Jeep Renegade you can be part of the Jeep family at a very low price, being one of the cheapest of the brand. With the four-wheel drive option, you can also experience the adventure of driving off-road without fear of getting stuck.
One of the reasons this car is so appealing is that it is good value for money and cheap to maintain. If we also find this Jeep second hand, the price will be even tighter.
Jeep offers 1.0 engines with manual traction and 120 hp or 1.3 with four cylinders, 150 hp and automatic transmission as standard in petrol. For diesel we can choose the 1.6 version with 120 hp and the 2.0 with 140 hp and four-wheel drive. Consumption ranges from 5.8 litres for the diesel to 7.1 litres/100 km for the 1.3 in petrol. Most Renegades are sold with front-wheel drive, so if you're looking for four-wheel drive you'll have to go for the 2.0 engine or the more powerful 170hp Trailhawk version, with which you can unleash your adventurous desires.
The driving position is high, more so than in other vehicles of its style. The interior already makes you feel like you're in a Jeep, and anyone who likes that feeling needs no further introduction. A rectangular cabin provides enough space to travel comfortably, whether in the front or rear seats. The 351-litre boot, while not the largest in its segment, is sufficient for normal use with the occasional family outing.
As an alternative to the Jeep Renegade you might be interested in the Fiat 500X with which it shares a platform. Suzuki Vitara, Seat Arona, Nissan Juke or Renault Captur could be other options to consider. Come and ask us if you would like to find out about other vehicles similar to the Jeep Renegade that match what you are looking for.
Jeep Compass
With Compass we find the Jeep aesthetics in a vehicle with an off-road appearance and different versions for all tastes; from the most basic Sport version, to the Trailhawk that comes loaded with extras but at a much higher price.
Jeep Compass is not a cheap car, so if you can find it second-hand and with a low mileage, even better. When it comes to choosing a version, perhaps the Longitude 4x2 is one of the best options if we value the price and the extras it offers such as dual zone climate control and ambient lighting. Jeep Compass Limited offers a little more exclusivity, but those looking for the ultimate 4x4 experience should look at the Trailhawk with its four-wheel drive and features such as hill descent control, tow hook, raised suspension and other extras to allow you to drive over all types of terrain and live the experience.
It is inside the Jeep Compass where we will experience the biggest differences with other Crossovers; Jeep tries to offer the sensations of a real 4x4 and to do so it places us in a higher driving position than in other vehicles. Sitting at the steering wheel of this car is not the same as in any other SUV, something you may or may not like, but it is part of the experience of driving a Jeep. The boot is comparable to other vehicles in its class, so there's no shortage of space and the cabin is spacious for both passengers and driver.
In terms of engines, the most basic petrol option already has 140 hp in a 1.4 engine that consumes around 6.2 litres/100 km; we can also opt for four-wheel drive and 170 hp with a corresponding increase in fuel consumption. In diesel we start with the 120 hp 1.6 engine and an average fuel consumption of 4.5 litres/100 km. The 140 or 170 hp 2.0 version with the option of four-wheel drive and 9-speed automatic transmission increases this consumption to 5.2 and 5.7 litres/100 km.
Do you like the Jeep Compass? It's a car with an aggressive and attractive look and an interior that's distinctive, so it's best to come and try it to see if it's the kind of car you're looking for.
